Refunds
When we give the money back.
This is a digital product that exists the moment you pay for it, so the usual return window doesn't apply. Here is what does — including the cases where we refund without arguing.

Before you pay, nothing to cancel
Building is free and unpaid drafts cost nothing. You can abandon a gift at any point before checkout with no charge and no account to close. You see the finished gift on a phone-shaped preview before you reach for your card, which is deliberate — this policy exists for the rare cases the preview doesn't catch.
After you pay
Payment mints the gift's permanent link and publishes it immediately. That is the thing you bought, and it is delivered on the spot, so we do not offer a general change-of-mind refund.
We will refund you in full
- You were charged twice for the same gift. Tell us and we refund the duplicate, always. You do not need to argue this one.
- You paid and no gift appeared. If a payment succeeded but no link was minted, that is our bug — we will either publish the gift or refund you, whichever you prefer.
- A paid feature didn't work. A custom link that never resolved, a scheduled unlock that fired at the wrong time, a soundtrack that never played. We fix it if we can; if we can't, we refund the part that failed, or the whole gift if it made the gift pointless.
- Your gift was unreachable for an extended period because of a failure on our side, and that outage covered the occasion you bought it for.
We normally won't refund
- A gift that was delivered and worked, because the recipient didn't react the way you hoped.
- A typo, a wrong name or the wrong photo. Every plan lets you edit a published gift, and the link stays the same — so this is fixable, not refundable. Ask us if you are stuck.
- A PIN you set and then forgot. We store it as a hash and genuinely cannot recover it.
- A gift taken down for breaking the terms.
None of the above is a hard rule about your legal rights — if you think your situation is unfair, say so. We would rather refund an edge case than win an argument.
How to ask
Email apnasurprise@gmail.com from the address you used at checkout, with the gift link or the recipient name. That is enough for us to find the order. No form, no ticket number.
Please ask within 7 days of the payment where you can. Later than that is not an automatic no — it just makes a duplicate charge or a failed feature much harder for us to verify.
How long it takes
We respond to refund requests within 3 working days. Once we approve one, we issue it through Razorpay to the original payment method — we cannot send it anywhere else. From there the money typically takes 5 to 7 working days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer; that leg is out of our hands.
A refunded gift is taken offline, and its link stops working. We will confirm that before processing rather than after.
Failed and pending payments
If a payment fails, nothing is charged and your draft is untouched — try again. If your bank shows a charge but the gift never published, it is usually a pending authorisation that reverses itself within a few working days. Write to us anyway and we will check it against the order record rather than asking you to wait and see.
